On 22 June, 2021 Waratah Minerals announced that it had agreed to acquire the Azura Project in the Halls Creek tectonic zone in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
The combined tenement package comprises 258km² of highly prospective geology. Historical exploration has mapped a copper-bearing trend over 8km.
The tenement package has signed heritage agreements in place with the Purnululu and Malarngowem traditional owners whose lands cover a significant portion of the East Kimberly region.
